Client’s Goals

The homeowner wanted to update their condo with renovations that not only refreshed the space but also made it safer and more functional for aging in place. Their top priorities were a new kitchen and a redesigned bathroom with thoughtful accommodations — including grab handles and accessibility-focused design choices to ensure long-term comfort and peace of mind.

They also wanted durable, low-maintenance flooring throughout the unit and chose luxury vinyl tile (LVT) for its resilience, easy upkeep, and modern look. In the kitchen, the client chose to retain the existing cabinets, so all upgrades were designed and installed around them to maximize value while minimizing disruption.

Key goals included:

  • Renovating the kitchen and bathroom with an emphasis on aging-in-place design

  • Adding grab handles and accessibility features throughout the bathroom

  • Installing resilient luxury vinyl tile flooring across the unit

  • Retaining existing kitchen cabinets while updating the surrounding finishes

  • Creating a safe, comfortable home that supports long-term independence
