Client’s Goals
For this family, the goal was simple: create a cost-efficient, durable bathroom their kids could use every day without worry. We upgraded the space with practical, long-lasting finishes designed to handle real-life wear and tear.
As part of the project, we also completed a full upper-floor refresh—installing new doors, updated door trim and baseboards, and adding bright, kid-selected paint colours to personalize each room. The renovation was finished with new carpet throughout the upper level, bringing warmth, comfort, and a clean, cohesive feel to the entire floor.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge:
Pre-project testing showed asbestos in some of the bathroom materials—something we encounter regularly in homes of this age. It’s a normal part of working in older buildings and simply becomes another step in the process.
Solution:
Because this is so common, we handled it the way we always do: we scheduled our certified abatement team, had the area safely remediated, and moved straight into construction. No surprises, no delays, and no stress for the client. It’s just part of our standard workflow to ensure every project starts on a clean, safe foundation.
