$22,000

Client’s Goals

The client wanted to update their bathroom by converting an old bathtub into a custom walk-in shower, creating a more modern and functional space that better suited their needs.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge: This 100-year-old home came with a few expected hurdles.

Pre-project testing identified asbestos in the drywall, which required safe, certified remediation before any demolition could begin. We also encountered multiple layers of materials built up from decades of renovations—each one needing to be removed carefully to expose a clean, workable structure.

Solution:

Because issues like this are common in older homes, we followed our standard process:

Coordinated certified asbestos abatement to clear the space safely and efficiently.

Methodically removed the accumulated layers of past renovations to reveal the true structural conditions.

Once the area was clean and properly prepped, we proceeded with building the new custom walk-in shower exactly as planned.

No surprises, no stress for the client—just the systematic approach we bring to every heritage or older-home project.
