Client's goals
The client had a pool that could not hold water, even after hiring another company to repair it. That previous repair was failing and peeling away from the pool surface, several jets had been damaged during the work, and the pool light had stopped functioning. After years of frustration, the pool was essentially unusable. Roka was brought in to restore it properly: a reliable, long-lasting pool the family could finally enjoy again.

Overview
Roka Projects restored a West Vancouver pool that could not hold water even after another company's repair, which was peeling off the surface and had left damaged jets and a dead pool light behind. Over two months, the failed finish was sandblasted off, the pool was refurbished, every leak point was systematically isolated and fixed, and the mechanical room was rebuilt from structure to equipment.

Challenges & Solutions
Finding the Source of the Leak
Challenge: Identifying the source of the leak: pools have many potential points of failure, including plumbing lines, jets, skimmers, the shell, and equipment connections. After the previous contractor's repair failed and more components were damaged, nobody knew where the leak actually originated.
Solution: We took a systematic approach, testing and isolating every component and system involved until every leak point was pinpointed and resolved. That process is what gives the client confidence in the renewed pool.
Result
The pool holds water, the jets and light work, and the equipment behind the wall is as dependable as the finish in front of it. After years of failed fixes, the family has a pool they can simply use, which was the whole point.
